Mufflers?

Mufflers?
I'am lookig for ideas for mufflers. I was thinking about Hush Thrush for my 69. Engine is a 428PI with ED heads and I think herman headers. I need to get exhaust on the truck because every time I start it it scares the !@#$%^&*() out of the dog! 
I would like it to be quiet at idle and hear it rumble when I wind it up. Thanks

I have Flowmasters on my two hot rods. The truck has had them for 15+ yrs, the blower car for 9 yrs. They were cheaper back then, that's for sure. They are up near $100 each now. I paid less then $50 back when.
I do remember Hush Thrush's to be pretty mellow at idle, but haven't heard a set in 20 yrs? Seems every hot rod in town used to run them straight off the headers. But don't see much of it anymore.
