Know it ain't a F-150...but it's close

My POS Dodge finally got it's walking papers.

Ford offered me $6,200 in rebates for a 2008 Expedition EL...and after 5 hours I own one. As you can see in the pics, my wife has already started to make it her own.

Specs:

2008
Expedition EL
Limited
20's
Power everything...but the Nav and DVD system. That backup camera and powerfold mirrors and A/C seats are freaking cool. I'm gonna see about adapting a set to my F-150.

Tthe Leather is pretty neat. Never seen a color scheme like that before...but it's a close enough match to U of Texas colors that I'm digging it.

Now I'm back to being a 100% Ford driveway. She doesn't have the power of the Hemi...but the 6 speed more than makes up for that.

Seeing as I know just about nothing on these things...I gotta go do some research on mods. It's getting a good exhaust first thing. Not sure if I want a SIDO or SISO setup though

BTW, does FTE have an Expy area? I can't seem to find one

thank you very much for the link 96sherm...I guess I'm blind as a bat

the truck is very likely to get a paint job sometime in the next year or so...but only the lower panels. I absolutely love that Charcoal stripe

I wasn't really wanting another Black vehicle (Durango was black), but it was the last one on the lot

beware the Durango. They are okay vehicles for people with OLDER kids.

It sucks a big one if your kids have to sit in carseats. That is why I bought the Expy....that and it was a Dodge

Nice truck. Glad to see yours wasn't built with the power steps. Our Explorer has had nothing but issues with those.

Those heated/cooled seats are great aren't they?

I wondered when you would get rid of the Durango. I see what you mean about the wife tagging HER vehicle. Does that mean that she picks the mods?

Just one question. Do you ever park in someone elses drive-way. All the house look alike in the pictures.

I'm in a housing community...so yeah, they all look pretty identical. I have been known to park infront of my neighbors house a time or 2 by accident

Yep, it is 99% the wifes car...but I drive it when we go anywhere. She gets final approval on all the visual mods, but I can do anything I want for motor and electronics.

Cooled seats are...interesting. Especially when every part of you is sweating...and then your butt isn't. Very strange

I would hate to park that sweet ride in someone elses driveway. You can't pick a better color/wheels/interior combination on that thing. I guess since the wifey got what she wanted, the new f-150 will be on hold atleast for a little bit? Sweet truck!
