Know it ain't a F-150...but it's close
My POS Dodge finally got it's walking papers.
Ford offered me $6,200 in rebates for a 2008 Expedition EL...and after 5 hours I own one. As you can see in the pics, my wife has already started to make it her own. Specs: 2008 Expedition EL Limited 20's Power everything...but the Nav and DVD system. That backup camera and powerfold mirrors and A/C seats are freaking cool. I'm gonna see about adapting a set to my F-150. Tthe Leather is pretty neat. Never seen a color scheme like that before...but it's a close enough match to U of Texas colors that I'm digging it. Now I'm back to being a 100% Ford driveway. She doesn't have the power of the Hemi...but the 6 speed more than makes up for that. http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/a...L/IMG_8080.jpg http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/a...L/IMG_8069.jpg http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/a...L/IMG_8058.jpg http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/a...L/IMG_8084.jpg http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/a...L/IMG_8064.jpg Seeing as I know just about nothing on these things...I gotta go do some research on mods. It's getting a good exhaust first thing. Not sure if I want a SIDO or SISO setup though BTW, does FTE have an Expy area? I can't seem to find one  |
Thats a sick looking Rig, We are looking for one of those for my wife this summer. We are planning #3 and need the room. She wanted a Durango but i got that nasty thought out of her mind....
|
sweet, sweet ride!!! here's the Expy forum... https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum174/
|
That is one sweet kid hauler!:-drink
Your next F150 mod: new black paint job:D |
thank you very much for the link 96sherm...I guess I'm blind as a bat
the truck is very likely to get a paint job sometime in the next year or so...but only the lower panels. I absolutely love that Charcoal stripe I wasn't really wanting another Black vehicle (Durango was black), but it was the last one on the lot

It sucks a big one if your kids have to sit in carseats. That is why I bought the Expy....that and it was a Dodge :-X18 |
Congrats on the new rig! I love those seats, thats a neat color combo.
|
Nice truck. Glad to see yours wasn't built with the power steps. Our Explorer has had nothing but issues with those.
Those heated/cooled seats are great aren't they? |
nice looking ride.
|
I wondered when you would get rid of the Durango. I see what you mean about the wife tagging HER vehicle. Does that mean that she picks the mods?
|
Just one question. Do you ever park in someone elses drive-way. All the house look alike in the pictures.
|
I'm in a housing community...so yeah, they all look pretty identical. I have been known to park infront of my neighbors house a time or 2 by accident
Yep, it is 99% the wifes car...but I drive it when we go anywhere. She gets final approval on all the visual mods, but I can do anything I want for motor and electronics. Cooled seats are...interesting. Especially when every part of you is sweating...and then your butt isn't. Very strange |
Nice looking ride, are you getting the Rouchcharger for Mothers Day for the Wife.:)

I would hate to park that sweet ride in someone elses driveway. You can't pick a better color/wheels/interior combination on that thing. I guess since the wifey got what she wanted, the new f-150 will be on hold atleast for a little bit? Sweet truck!
|
Man thats sweet!!!!!! I love those seats too...
