"1993 Ford Ranger 2.3L, with 220,000 miles mostly highway miles doesn't leak or burn any oil. Recently drove to Traverse City with no problems. 5 speed transmission with new clutch about 3000 miles ago. 4 wheel drive works. Any other questions contact me at xxx-xxxx".

I've never heard of a 4x4 with the 2.3L engine in it...wonder if it's a typo?

No, you could get a 4x4 ranger with the 2.3 up till 97. There's just not a lot of people that opted for that option.

Thanks for pointing that out. Sounds like it'd be a lot like the Nissan 4x4 pickup a friend of mine owned for a while...had a 4-cyl in it and it was severely underpowered. Got the job done for them, I guess.

Yeah, if the 2.3 was the only option, people would of thought it was great, but with having a V-6 to compare it to, most went with the V-6. With the hp todays 4 cylinders are producing, I would like to see them bring the 4 cylinder option back.
