Open your driver's door and look in the door frame near the striker plate. There will be a sticker with the VIN number and codes. Look at the axle code and tell us what it is and we can tell you the axle ratio and if the differential is open or limited slip.
It will have a Dana 50 TTB up front and a Sterling 10.25" full floater out back. To my knowledge, all diesels came with the Dana 50 instead of the Dana 44HD. Also, supercabs got the Dana 50. My '94 regular cab with the 351 has a Dana 50, but I think this has to do with the snow plow package. The regular cab gas trucks are the ones that you have to check, from what I have been told most came with the Dana 44HD, with a few lucky ones (mine included) getting the Dana 50.
haha good call on the shipping costs ...so i don't know much about these limited slips do they wear out ?? do they have different parts in them vs a normal rear end? and since its 4.10 rear is that the ratio up front as well?

The limited slips have clutches in them and they do wear. The factory 4x4s that have 4.10s in the rear differential usually have 4.09s in the front differential.
And rear 3.55s have 3.54s in the front as does rear 3.08s are usually paired with front 3.07s.

i thought that they stopped doing the different ratios front to rear in the 70s or 80s or something i only say that because last time i said that it was on a different thread and someone said i was wrong they are same ratio front and rear
and will it be a limited slip up front i onlly ask 1.because im clueless 2. im gunna dig into them cause i don't think they work haha also i can't thank every1 enough for being so helpful you don't get this kind of help on other forums.
Jack it up lock the hubs spin one of the tires if other spins same direction it's LS if opposite it's open
And ford uses too much LS fluid that causes it to act more like a open diff. Drain the fluid refill it with half the recomended amount of fluid drive it around a turn if one of the tires shudders and drags add a little more fluid. I think they do it so you use your LS less and the clutchs last longer
