That's what I figured. An early built 05.

If I understand correctly, early built 05s have different 6.0s compared to the later builds of for the 05 MY.

Right you are....the early '05s still had carryover '04 engines. It wasn't until midway through 2005 the last of the X's got '05 engines.

Do you by any chance know that switch-over date?

Not being familiar with the 6.0's, can someone delineate the differences and changes Ford did between the two engines?

I was looking at it earlier too! I think it was early summer '06 when they got the actual '05 engines, but I'll have to check on that. I'll know on Monday...

As far as differences, new hpop design and a lot of changes that made the 05-07 MY desireable, again I'll post on this monday.

The starting bid by the seller was $15,000. And the reserve price was not met at the $15,000. It received no bids thereafter. I guess nobody wants it.

From what I can tell on the oasis the head gaskets are blown,I didn't see a H/G repair. That motor will blow open every oil seal that gets replaced until the head gaskets are repaired, until a tech figures that out the motor will self destruct. The 6.0 was and is barely understood by a lot of dealer techs causing oasis reports that read like that one. Here are a couple links on the various running changes in the 6.0.This is the original, its a large file http://www.forddoctorsdts.com/public...eTableBook.pdf This is 04 http://www.forddoctorsdts.com/public...eTableBook.pdf and this is the 05 http://www.forddoctorsdts.com/public...eeTableBook.pd On re reading they tried to fix the H/G but it looks like the problem still exists, that is at least a new head or heads or a very rare un-true block.
