Torn leather armrest - replacement??
My search for a truck continues....
I looked at a real nice 06 Amarillo edition yesterday. One of the issues I had was the drivers side seat had a tear in the leather armrest. It was fairly large and I dont think it can be patched/fixed.
Is there a replacement skin or complete armrest I can purchase, or do i have to take to an upholsterer?

An upholsterer should be cheaper than a katzkin replacement (if they will part a kit out) or going to the dealer (a dealer should be able to get one in a day or so.) On the other hand, an upholstery shop could stitch in a new piece of leather in a couple of hours for their time and the small piece of leather.

...or in the meantime, swap the drivers armrest with the passengers and the rips will be underneath. Loaned my truck to a friend and got it back this way. Thought he found me new ones until i flipped them up !
