Ok so i just installed at dana 60 on my F250 89 with 7.3 diesel and i don't have the trac bar but replaced all the steering, king pins the whole nine yards new bearings a seals in the hubs the only thing i haven't done yet is get it professionally aligned and when I'm driving some times it will be fine and others times the front end will literally jump off the ground like it will do like a seesaw motion down the road and wont stop until i come to a complete stop, i have a couple ideas but still unsure, thinking bad alignment or maybe the diff is locking up one side or something. any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Not having a trac bar would probably do that.. mine had a really bad shake when I had bad bushings for my trac bar. I'm fairly sure that they are crucial when you've got bigger axles.
A few things to try:
All bushings but be good: spring, shackle and trac
shocks helped a little on mine
steering stablizer, more of a bandaid but did help a little
Bearings must be tight, I had a cheater bar on mine and this took the wobble out.
A few things I haven't tried:
shimming the kingpin spring
installing camber shims to add a couple extra pos. degs (tilt back).
