Where can I find the brake controller connector? Does anyone have a light on this matter as I have looked under the dash and have found nothing. W just got a trailer and I would like to get out there soon... so please if anyone has an answer it would really help this guy to get out and do some much needed fishing.
If you had looked a little further down on the Excursion page that lists all the threads before posting this new thread, you would have found the answer already posted for ya.
Stewart_H, Monsta (nice puppy!)... thanks for the input. I believe I am the 3rd owner, so if it's there I have yet to locate it. The thing is that I have read all the postings on the Excursion feed, just to see what people think of the beast and to get some insight on issues that may arise. The truck has about 105000KM (61000Miles). Bought in the USA and brought up to Canada. I have no history on this bad boy but so far it drives alright. The only thing is that whem I pull my 30ft TT, it fish tails alot more comparewd to when I pulled it with the RAM 2500. Anyway's, thank's for the write back and hope to keep in touch.
That's an Excursion problem with the fish tailing. There are fixes to it..
The connector is to the right of the drivers side. It is kinda attached up in there and facing upwards. Hard to see. Get a light and stick your head in there. You'll see it.
Click on the different links in that thread. They'll lead you to different threads concerning steering wander and towing setup. Pay attention to posts by X_Hemi_Guy (Joe) because his posts will guide you to a proper setup for towing.
Thanks guy's, I am contemplating on installing Roadmaster Active Suspension system on the beast. What are your takes on this system?
Go to post number 8 above (my post) and click on the link I posted there. It's a thread containing a bunch of links to threads that address steering wander, proper towing/trailer setup, and last but not least, the RAS (Roadmaster Active Suspension).
Pay attention to posts by X_Hemi_Guy (Joe) because he covers the RAS in-depth.
Thanx Stewart. By the way, I found the connector, will hook up the trailer tomorrow and try it out. I gotta tip my hat's to you guy's for all your help. Now I gotta find my damn keyless entry code # from the factory...
