it is possible that he has an exhaust leak if he had a clogged cat, but probably not.

hey clay i'm still plannin on getting your kit, but this recent brake fiasco has gotten me sick of workin on my truck and cleaned my wallet out. Hey guys his kit is good, it is cheaper than the filter alone at NAPA.

Thanks everyone. I dont have to have emissions in my area but they do inspect for the cat. thats why I gutted instead of removing. I planned on installing a straight pipe through the middle of it. clay I am really interested in your kit. I will be calling. probably next payday! haha. like you say, its on a budget. I have brought this truck back from being quite a mess. My wife says If I spent as much time with her as i did with the truck we would have more kids. now you know why I spend my time with the truck! haha

Okay, I gutted the cat and bought a downpipe locally to install. my next question is about removing the stock downpipe. do i have to cut it in half to get it out? it looks pretty tight. If so what have you guys used to cut it. sawzall, etc?....thanks

Yes, a sawzall, and likely you will need to do some modification to the firewall with a 2X4 and a hammer to get the new pipe to fit.

looks like he was almost through too!
I would have to seek therapy if that happened to me. I want to laugh and cry at the same time just looking at it.
