Help With 370-4v - 429/460 Swap !!
use the balancer and drive pulleys from the 460 ,see if the flex plate from the 460 looks the same as the 370 flex plate .you can buy thin shims to get the water pump pulley to line up with the crank pulley .for the alternator and power steer ,you might have to alter the brackets to move those things into alignment .

Hello Everyone! First off, amazing read. Hotwrench and 85, and others wow…..thank you for the knowledge/refresher for me on the 385’s. My Dad’s ‘75 F250 is an FE rig, but I did own a ‘78 (that I’m hopefully getting back next year) that had a ‘72 429 from a t-bird transplanted into it. Most of my questions are answered within the thread so I want to thank everyone of you for the information, both known and new and for keeping a thread very much alive over FIFTEEN YEARS! Thank you again!
