the flex plates are different. Two major differences are the depth or offset of the torque converter mounting surface and the amount of mounting hole for the torque converter. The 370 has 6 bolts vs the 460’s 4 for the C6

what transmission is in the truck ? will the converter from the donor car fit in the truck transmission ? you can use some shim /washer to install the converter .

Hello Everyone! First off, amazing read. Hotwrench and 85, and others wow…..thank you for the knowledge/refresher for me on the 385’s. My Dad’s ‘75 F250 is an FE rig, but I did own a ‘78 (that I’m hopefully getting back next year) that had a ‘72 429 from a t-bird transplanted into it. Most of my questions are answered within the thread so I want to thank everyone of you for the information, both known and new and for keeping a thread very much alive over FIFTEEN YEARS! Thank you again!
