Okay, so today I finally got around to testing my GPR. I followed the directions on Guzzles site and this is what I came up with. Key off,
Battery-12.6vdc, Battery post on GPR 12.6vdc. Key on - 11.6vdc on battery side of GPR, 10.4vdc on opposite post. According to Guzzles directions there should only be a .2vdc drop on the opposite post of the GPR. I have been having starting issues the last week or so and have had to try cranking the engine 2-3 times before it will fire. It only puts out a very small wisp of white smoke upon startup. So, should I replace the GPR? I think for $20.00 it can't hurt. BTW I checked on the price of a GPR at my local Advanced Auto Parts. I had them look it up under the application and the GPR was $87.00!! Had them cross reference it to a NAPA GPR-109 and it was only $18.00!! Talk about a price difference.
