nice article brickie...

In this article it says that Ford recommends changing the cooler as part of a total fluid change... Never heard of that before. Does anyone really do this?

Hmmm, a screw on filter by the cooler? Never seen that on my truck so I either didnt look hard enough or it isnt used in all applications. Anyone else have one of these filters?

I think it was only used for a short period of time. My 06 and now my 08 don't have it. (the screw on filer)

I've heard of it in case of a transmission failure, but not during a fluid change.

But what's the fluid interchange interval for a TS?

The same article said Ford recommends bottom pan filter and fluid be changed every 30K. I'm wondering of this is a sort of press-release type article, maybe some of the things in the article never actually came to reality? It's dated October 2004...
