PCV system problems???

Ok guy Ive got a 94 5.0 out of a E250 van in my 74 maverick runs great but smokes after it runs for a while and when you start it hot.So today I pulled the upper intake and it dumps a good bit of oil out of it.Way more then should ever be in there. I do believe this is causing the problem and is related to the pcv system.I done a compression check when I first put the motor in and all cyl's are great runs out smooth on the road with plenty of power. No evidence of blow by or leaks.

So what I need is someone to explain why im getting all this oil in the upper intake and what is it going to take to stop the problem I cant have a smoke screen following me around!

How do you have the PVC hooked up? Are you using the EFI?

pcv is hooked up as factory to the rear of the upper intake then to the RR corner of the valve cover connected with a short hose.Everything is just transplanted into an older body including the EFI and van engine harness/ECM/fuel system and such.

pulled the passenger valve cover and it doesnt drain the oil out like it should drilled some 1/4" holes in the baffle at the bottom seems to have eliminated the problem cleaned the intakes out with brake kleen and ran it for about an hour and so far no oil in the pcv valve and no smoke.

I will update if the problem presist or shows again so that one can find this via a search.

Well ended up blocking the pcv completely and cleaning the upper intake out with brake cleaner.lowered the oil comsumption some but no fix.

Put valve seals on as a suggestion > problem remains

done a compression test 145-150 psi all across the board

put lower intake gaskets on also > no change

So im faced with stuck oil control rings on cyl 5,6,8 it seems.
