On a 86 F250 where would the trans cooler be located? There was a radiator swap done on the vehicle before I purchased it, I have no idea if there was a trans cooler there before, but I do not see one there now. There are a few lines located in the vicinity of the bottom of the radiator. They appear to be 1/2"-9/16 in exterior diameter. I have not had a chance to trace them yet. Am I looking in the right place?

I am pretty sure it should be on the driver's side of the radiator. There should be a line near the top and one near the bottom. The trans oil cooler is located inside the radiator.:+
Most rads for an automatic tranny have a special tank on the bottom of it underneath the vanes of the rad. That's all.
If you pull a trailer it would be good idea to run an accessory cooler in front to the rad that is hooked up in series with the rad tank cooler.
