overheating fun
was out on the trail heat went above the red looked for leaks no leaks so i got to the main trail and decided to check my water and there was no pressure i could just take the cap right off? any ideas thanx

The guage has nothing to do with the thermostat.
If the thermostat doesn't open it will pressurize from the heat.
If the water does not circulate it will be pressurized from the bottom hose.
It is not unusuall for a diesel not to have much or any pressure.

ooo see i did not know that this is my first diesel and allthough i've had it for 3 years its just starting to have a few problems maybe it didn't like the 130,000kms i put on it in those years haha..but neways can the thermostat get stuck open??

k so found sending unit on head behind ps pump? pull off heat gauge goes back to normal but still works? wtf is going on here haha does it have something to do with the red wire hooked to the sending unit on the intake ??? im so lost

There are 2 sending units, one for the gauge and one for the light. When the one for the light reaches a certain temp. it will peg the temp gauge to the hot side. It sounds as if the sender for the light has gone bad.
