I have a 1993 F150 XLT. Last night I was having problems with my turn signals. I decided to sleep on it as it was late enough as it was. I went out to look at it a little closer today. The right turn signal is stuck in the on position on the dash panel, but not on the actual lights outside the truck. The turn signals don't work, period. The hazard lights don't work, either.
The fuse is fine. I pull out the fuse and the turn signal stops on the dash panel. Soon as I plug the fuse back in the right turn signal light on the dash panel continues to blink.
I used to work on cars oh so many years ago. I'm lost, but really have no money to pay someone to fix this or diagnose it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sounds like the switch lever is busted, not a cheap replacement, since it's multi function.
Have you checked the flashers in the fuse box (one is on the back) to make sure they're good?

Yes, it's really weird though. It is the hazard/stop fuse that is causing the problem or at least turning off the problem when I unplug the fuse.
Nothing happens when I take out the turn lamp fuse.
Well, I'd delete the thread as it appears that it was a flux. It works now. For some odd reason it just started working, unless I fixed it by taking out the fuse for half an hour or so to let it do whatever it needed to do to work correctly when I put the fuse back in. What a weird mishap.
