YOu are going to get a bunch of different responces, so I guess i'll be the first. I have a Vollant and love it. When you stomp on the gass it gives it that 4 barrel sound.
I have the Airaid system in mine and I like it a lot. When I had my bronco I had a K&N in it and liked it too. The Airaid seems to be quieter than the K&N was though. But still a good system I think
my brother works at a ford dealership and he said that the k&n filters are not the greatest they do not filter the air very well...they have to replace the sensors on alot that have k&n filters
Bought a volant cai 2 weeks ago...Love it...I commute to work with a guy and he even notices the difference. Only gave me 1 or less mpg depending on how much i step in the fuel but worth it if like it loud. I was able to pick it up at truckaddons.com for 250$ shipped to the door. Next is the Gryphon programmer pretty pumped about that!!

i dont like the idea of a "cold air intake" when the intake is located in the hot *** engine bay like k&n and so forth. dont make sence to me. colder air is a better charge and more power than just a larger volume of air at a POSSIBLY hotter temp. i have never been able to actually test how much hotter the air is with one tho.
fords original setup with the REAL cold air cuz its being pulled from outside the engine bay so its colder makes sence. you just dont get the volume of air but you can only take in and burn so much air.
S&B has a filter that uses fords original outside cold air with a K&N like set up. i was told they are high quality and good but i never seen one or herd of one who has one. id buy one if i has the cash.
id say save your money buy a drop in and get a tuner.
My air raid uses the stock part in to the fender, then from the filter to the tb is all new housing, I really like it. I agree with gwar I would rather have cold air than a little more hot air.
