The blocks between a 360 (FE) and a 361 (FT) are identical. The main differences lie with the other parts. The heads that you described indicate that you have an FE (360). The heads on a FT will have a different casting number, smaller valves, and an extra exhaust port for emmisions ( I think ). The intake manifold might also be FT specific, somebody out here might know that for sure. The FT crank will be steel instead of cast iron the the pistons are very heavy versues an FE. The timing cover will be seperate from the water pump on an FE; a FT motor will have a "meshed together" timing cover and water pump, both made of cast iron (similar to a small block ford). But the give away on your description is the head numbers that you possess a FE. These blocks (FE and FT) are nice to have sonic checked to see if they are thick enough to go out to a 428 bore (0.080" over from a standard 360/390 bore) plus they usually will have the good CJ main webbing and/or external block webbing.

If you're curious and want to do some poking around under the engine compartment of your truck, this is what I ment by the external block webbing between the freeze plug holes and the bottom of the block.
