self test help

self test help

well i tried running the the self test on my ford last night but i couldnt figure out the blinks confused the crap outta me i keep on getting different numbers every time i do so im video taped it hoping some of u guys could figure it out for me i would greatly appericate it heres a link for u tube thanks alot guys YouTube - MVI 0046

The codes are:
KOEO 654 = Not in Park during test, maybe bad MLPS.

CM 212 = IDM loss maybe bad PIP sensor in the distributor or ICM. Does the engine run?
CM 628 = Not sure what to tell you on this one but may be the MLPS.

Do you have a stock Ignition System?
Was it in Park during the test?

yea it has all motor craft ignition system
no i think i had it in nuetrul during the test would that casue any problems or just trow that code and thanks for gettin the codes for me

Yes it would give this code:
KOEO 654 = Not in Park during test.

Sounds like you could start with a tune-up (plugs, plug wires, cap, rotor).
Then the:
CM 212 = IDM loss
may go away also.
