OK I found where its been talked about but not really sure what the final verdict was is it a cap designed to hold 16 psi or dose that not matter since its in a Degas bottle?

It definitely needs to hold 16psi still.

It needs to hold 16 psi because if it doesn't, you will have major cavitation issues and your coolant can boil right out.

If you hook up a pressure guage to the coolant, you might address early issues because the coolant system will pressurize faster than it should; not from heat, but from gasses entering the system.

honestly i don't know.

I'd say pressure test it, and if it holds about 16, and vents after that, call her good.

I watched the same video months ago while I was deployed. First thing I did when I got off the plane was stop and pick up a new cap on the way home. Didn't even check mine. That guy knows his ****.

I think he does, he certainly has probably helped a lot of people.

I think he gets a little flac for his video on HPOP oil changes.

I think I have watched all his videos some twice. From the looks of it, he deals with alot of fleet vehicles and if its happened, he has seen it. I know he sold me on DPF delete with a video he did. When he said its not a matter of if, but when your DPF causes your 6.4 to fail. Im talking to a guy on Monday about a mini maxx and dpf delete.

Without doubt, regen's are hard on the engine.

that said, the highest mileage 6.4's I've seen so far were stock.

I am 100% stock and on the interstate I am getting anywhere from 16-18mpg depending on head/tail winds. In town I get 11-14. All MPG figures are empty.
