Ford Wheels
I am looking to replace the wheels and tires on my 2000 F350 4x4 v10. I have the stock steel wheels on there now. There is a guy here locally that has a set of 18" wheels off of his 2006 F250.
I know the wheels I currently have are the 16", and came from the factory with 265/75/16 tires, but I am running 285/75/16's on it now.
I would like to know if the 2006 Ford 18's will fit, and also what effect will they have on my truck other then less low end grunt and speedometer being off.
I also have a good deal lined up for a set of new 265/75/16's that I could just have installed on my steel factory rims.

You're going to need wheel adapters (spacers) for those 18s to fit properly.

i just did the same thing. i got a screaming deal on a set of 09 alum. rims and tires - 275/18's i put a 2" adapter on. if you go with the 1 & 1/2" you will need to cut your original studs. the 2" fit and look good. Lug Nuts Wheel Adapters Spacers Lug Bolts is where i got them. they came with the lugs to mount them. without them you need to add weld to your turn stops so your tires wont hit your leaf spring, and it will look like a locomotive. the tires are tucked in too far.
