I am looking at..
A 1996 F-150 ext cab, 4WD with 129,000 miles on it (302). Is there any inpaticular problems that a lot of people had with this year or anything that I should know? Thanks, just making sure.

Lol. Yes. But can you buy a certain part for just the side panel of the bed? Like around the wheel wells on the truck i'm buying it is REALLY rusted so I was going to try to buy a new side panel if that is what you call it of the bed and replace it..

Patch panel. Available from NPD and some other resources.
If the bedside is rusted out, make sure you check underneath. Rusted out rear shackles are a PITA, and you might have holes in the cab corners, under the door sills and in the floor itself. The radiator core support is also rust prone.

yea, you can buy them premade or make them yourself. lmctruck.com has just about any patch panel you could imagine.

Well, I could not find that specific piece, but I didn't look very long and I think i'm just going to get the fender flares. Where do you guys normally get them? i was looking on one site and they were about $380.00 for a set of them.
