Hi, all... Thanks for all the suggestions so far on different things. Now I found out on my 96 F150 300ci that the hazard lamps dont work. Wipers, turns, high/lo beams are fine. I replaced the multifunction switch and it didn't fix the problem. It is a tilt wheel so I looked at the connectors, but none of the wires are pulled out or anything. I did, however notice a connector with 2 wires that doesn't go to anything. I cannot find an electrical schematic for this, so I don't have a reference point to start diagnosing it. I have a Haynes manual, but there is very little in there. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I removed the "flasher pot" in the interior drivers side fuse box. It must work, cause with that removed, the blinkers don't work. Also, I looked behind the fuse box and there aren't any other fuses or flasher pots....

Well, there should be TWO flashers, one for hazard, and one for turn signals.. It may simply be missing....
probably you did not find the flasher pot because it is not there (maybe it was removed)... check exactly just back of the flasher you removed.. probaly you will find the plug of the lacking flasher pot.
luismadrigal, Nope... I checked behind the fuse box... It's just wires feeding into the fuses. When you say "flasher pot" you're talking about the round cylindrical silver relay, right?
that´s right. the flasher pot is a round cylindrical silver relay, theres is one at the front and there is other exactly behind. I have a 1995 truck 4.9L and I replaced that part few days ago. I´m not sure if there is a difference in the fuse box between 1995 and 1996 model like yours. anyway your truck must have a relay for the hazzard. I suggest remove the flasher pot you can see...check the appeareance of the plug or connector and check again behind.
Please note that all flasher pots aren't silver. Some are gold colored metal, some are made of plastic, etc. I've in the past turned on my turn signals/flashers, then felt around for the clicking item. (Fast flashers indicate a particular bulb is out, slow flashers mean the pot is going bad, or too much load, like when you have a trailer connected.)
Some have two connector blades, while others have three. Some can be square, alot of them are round. I've seen the ones with the reset button on them, also...
