Well seems like it is always somthing new. lol need little advice again though. i have an 00 Ex V-10 went on trip to pismo dunes this easter weekend everything fine. drove it last night parked it and went to start it today and it just turnes over. i have checked all fuses, i have gone to the fuel rail and releases the pressure then turned the key back on and got pressure out of it again, i have banged on the tank while having the wife crank on it. tried to check for spark but not sure if i am getting a good ground on it to check it. Have read about the IAC but my experience with that is if i apply a little gas it should at least start up breifly. is it possible the pump is working but just not enough pressure to start it or would it at least start then die? is there an easy way to check for spark that i am not doing? I put a screw driver in the coil and tried to arc it against the throttle bracket. any other ideas?
ok well here is where i am at today. i went down got a fuel pressure tester and well 40 to 42 lbs so she has pressure. i took out two of the coils and checked for fire. I have NO spark! all fuses are good. any ideas where to look now? could the computer gone out and is keeping the system from not seeing the chip in the key? what could it be? HELP! I can afford to take this to the dealer as be laidoff from work for 2 months hurts the wallet. any ideas i will take!
hmm well the theft light is all good comes on like it normaly does then turns off within a sec or 2. think i am going to have to tow it to shop. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR
well just an update. took it to my local mechanic to look at. he called me about an hour later said it was all ready to go and it was all fixed. So when i got there it started right up. he said it was 2 fuses that were bad. so i asked him to show me. as soon as he did i told him no those were to the front and back powerpoints in the truck. so i pulled them out and showed him that it will still start and it did. So no charge but now i dont know what it is still. and when it will happen again. I am thinking it is one of 2 things. the Cam sensor or the crank sensor the one behind the pump. and maybe when they were fooling around they did somthing to jolt it to work again. any thoughts?
