We looked at an 04 Eddie Bauer Expedition with 45,xxx miles. This thing seems to be fully loaded except for a sun roof. After taking it back to the dealer, my wife commented that she couldn't find the heated seat button. She looked on the side of the seat, where it is located on my 03 F-250 S.D. FX 4, our old expedition and explorer limited. Some one told me they have a climate controlled seat. Not to sound stupid, but where are the switches?? It would seem a $46,000 Eddie Bauer would have this option.
Thanks.
Our 2004 EB with a sunroof has them...... But a guy I know has a 2003 Expo EB leather and all and it does not have the heated or cooled seats nor does it have a sunroof. Go figure..

Just picked up an 04 EB today and it has heated/cooled seats.I can say for sure the cooled part works.Just to throw it out there, make sure the a/c is on when using cool and heat when using heated.....
not to steal the thread, but, I just bought an 06 4x4 EB with no sunroof and it does not have climate seats - any way to get heated cooled seats in it. I thought cooled seats were not available until late 06 until I saw the previous post. I am Assuming the entire ac controller would have to be replaced - but really would like to have them. I would have passed on the vehicle but the price/mileage were too good. By the way i came from an 03 F150 supercrew and so far I absolutely love this vehicle. Thanks in advance, Mike.
Cooled seats showed up in '03 for the first time. It is not linked to the climate control system in my 03 and 04, they will work regardless of what the climate system is doing. To add them may be a bit of a chore - you will need both seats, a console (switches ar elocated there), and you will have to figure out if the wiring harnesses are in the floor under your current seats. I guess if you could find a junkyard with a rear ender, you may be able to harvest everything you need.
jjlw a quick way to know if the truck you drove has the climate controlled seats is to look at the seats, if it has a perforated seating surface they are climate controlled, solid seating surface is not.
thanks for the replies. Sounds like it would get real expensive, real quick. I asked about the climate control because all of the later models (06 & up) appear to have them in the actual ac controls. I will probably just go back to the remote start and window vent alarm system - burns some gas but that is an okay trade off. Plus with the tan leather - it may not be that bad. (basically just an option I would have like to have)
