07 tow questions
I searched the forums and havent seen this question addressed sorry if I missed it.
I have 2007 Explorer Eddie Bauer V8. It has class I/II hitch with 4 way plug.
I would like to change to the 7 way plug and add a brake controller.
It appears the connector for the trailer plug is under the passenger side reat panel right behind the bumper. Can I buy an adapter that will plug in there and give me a 7 way plug that is already wired to the brake controller connector plug.
I havn't looked for the brake controler plug it sounds like it will either be under the steering wheel near the brake pedal or behind the glove box. If someone can confirm this I would appreciate it.
One other question I have is there a way to tell if I have the factory tow package, it seems strange I would with the class I/II hitch but I seem to have the other pieces (tran cooler, fuses etc)
