Off road fuel is available at some flyingj locations. If you have a bulk tank (500 gal) then find a local fuel supplier which more than likely will have it available. BUT beware-- there are huge fines if it is used in on road vehicles. It is "red" dyed so they will know if it is off road fuel.
Here in washington state they have been checking private vehicles usually hauling snowmobiles to mtns. and places like that, along with motorhames..I know you are across the u.s. from us but as times get tougher they will be looking for ways to make more revenue.
I have been checked in several states cali and florida and several in between.
I'm commercial but I know of a lot of people in nm and ks that have been checked in their private pickup, I know of one that has been caught twice and the 5000 fine was the minor part both times.

As long as the truck never runs on the highway, off road fuel is fine.
But when you are driving on the highway, the highway use taxes not paid on off road are what the states want.
After all, if you are driving on the road, you should be paying for the construction and maintenance of the road by paying highway use tax.
I frequently have a transfer tank with off road fuel in it for our construction equipment.
The 5000 dollar fine, plus court costs, plus the cost of the tow to a place to get the off road removed, propperly disposed of and replaced with highway fuel before you can drive it again is a very good insentive to keep it out of my truck tank.
Here the guys doing fuel checks are the Department of Tax and Revenue Criminal Investigation Division.
hmmmm takes the joy out of all the money I thought I would save with a diesel. Owning a farm the temptation would be too strong..lol.
This is why I use onroad fuel in everything and keep records showing "off road farm use" then report gallons used and get the taxes back at the end of year. helps with taxes owed to state and IRS

Yes...it is VERY tempting. My tanks are right along the driveway and sometimes the idea crosses my mind..."Hmmm, I'm a little low, it'd be nice if I could put 5 gal in and fill up the rest of the way in town...." But usually when I buy it, by the time you add up the delivery fees and such...I wont gain anything.
