Well the truck almost wouldn't start today got underneath it and the starter was loose. this is an easy fix, nope holes are stripped out and i took it to the shop and it will cost 1000 to fix it they have to drop the transmission and put the new bracket it that costs 200 what a freaking day wanted to trade it in but can't afford to.
x3, I may even know of someone who could help you out for much less if you don't want to do the work yourself. Aren't you on the westside of WA somewhere?
Deven called me... the dealer decided that in order to repair the stripped starter bolts they needed to drop the trans. When they did, they found some teeth missing on the flex plate. At that point, they had him by the jewels... not like he's gonna be able to go far with no trans in the truck.
Yepper just like Chase said i had already got got by them. Generally I would have done this myself but like i was telling Chase I am moving to Nebraska next week and the movers came yesterday and packed all my tools so I didn't have the time or tools. I also don't know or trust anybody around here with my truck so i took it to the dealer so it would be done quick. Just hope their is some kind of warranty on them reinstalling the trans so in case something happens in a couple days. Thanks for letting me rant to you chase.
Interesting that this came up. Last Friday when I pulled into work one of the contractors working on our test pad was under his truck (04 f250 6.0). He was trying to leave the job site and his starter fell off. Just hanging by the cable. Took the threads out on his as well.
