A Utah trip the last of May. Then if that goes well an Outlaw Trail trip around July 4th. And if that goes well a Colorado trip in August. And if all that goes well I need new carpet for the house after the remodel is finnished. Then new furniture. Then a new engine and tranny for Jr.
CSW this weekend,
Arkansas next weekend,
then start to save money for Aug Colorado trip.
Once money is saved up for Coloradical, put more money into that 350 sitting in the back of my pickup to get it ready to run in the old IH. Few dollars here, few dollars there kind of thing. Of course that all depends on what I break in Arkansas or CSW.
I wish we had half the plans that some of you guys have, quite impressive schedule for some of you!
The wife and I are probably just going to try and build a front deck, work on the off-roading rig, hit some more off-roading events, and maybe squeeze in a vacation to a destination that will be determined at a later time (Anyone have any suggestions?)

I plan on building a rear bumper/tire carrier for Elvis, and changing engines on the '63 from the '65. And I think Mid may we should plan on a work on Clint truck day- he has allot of toys he needs installed but never seems to have the time.
I know that I sure would tag along with you guys if you wanted us to
We went there a couple summers ago (Vail, CO) and had a great time. We were wanting to go somewhere we could drive to keep the costs down, so any of the surrounding states were in the discussion. Colorado is the only state that seemed really interesting.
Jamie's mom owns a couple timeshares, so we can usually stay in pretty nice places. Where are you planning on going?
I camp when I go out. Either to Utah or Colorado. So I'm out at a primative campsite in the desert or up some mountian trail. Last year we went to the San Juans (we camped outside of Silverton, CO). Year before last we went to the area west of Buena Vista, CO (we camped up above St. Elmo, CO). There has been some talk of going back to Buena Vista and some folks are kicking around staying in town. Another idea that was visited was stuff closer in to Denver. Red Cone, Radical Hill, ect.....
My plans are really up in the air. I have a limited amount of $$$$'s this year. The reason I am able to do CS&W is because my May Utah trip was washed out. That has been moved to late May. That is just a maybe trip. It is not my trip. If it happens I'll have the $$$'s for in. But if I have trouble on that trip I may not be able to make other trips. Same with the July OLT trip (Canada to Mexico). Colorado in August would be the least amount of $$$'s. That's cause fuel cost out and back is my biggest expense (if I don't have trouble).
I'll have my lap top this weekend and you can look at pics if you like and maps of the trails I have mapped out.
Jack, Chad had mentioned something to me about you thought I might say in Buena Vista in town, but I don't intend to. Maybe if I win the lottery or something I would give it more consideration. Wouldn't mind saying in that lodge just below St Elmo with the hot springs, and all the ladies in bikinis.. but I may have to win the lottery twice for that.
Actually the Mt. Princeton Hot Springs is really in line with other area prices. Last time I checked it was under $150 a night. Bout the same as Holiday Inn in Buena Vista. The prices for gas and at the store out front would make anyone I know scream though.
Sorry I thought you guys were wanting to stay in town and maybe bring the women folk along.
Kin still do that. Seems we all know folks in Denver and just drive in to Denver the first day and visit folks. Git up the next day and maybe sleep in ur visit some more. Then head out for Kenosha Pass and camp(bout 75 miles SW of Denver). That will give folks a chance to adjust to the alttitude. The the next day do say Red Cone. If Webster is closed then we will have to move pretty good to get up Radical Hill and down the the Middle Fork of the Swan and back over Georgia to camp. Or we could camping gear with us and camp up on the Middle Fork Swan and then say move on over to Mosquito(stoping at Fairplay and South Park). Just an idea.
The campsites at Kenosha kin be driven to in a car. And are just up from the pit tolet like at St. Elmo. Maybe a bit closer. Just an idea or two.
Course I like Utah best. Late September or early October would be a nice time to go out.
