Exhaust Question

The time has come to put some money into the truck. I have been looking at 4" turbo back systems. I know everybody has their favorite brands and we don't need to debate that. The question I have is a lot of the systems I see are labeled F250/F350 but they don't say anything about the Excursion. Is the Excursion exhaust different in any way except maybe length?

I am trying to do this on the cheap because I have to do up-pipes at the same time. Clay has already made me a great deal there. Thanks in advance for the info.

I'm not exactly sure, but I believe the Ex has some different mounting spots. Also, all Ex's are the same length so the kit might be specific to them instead of the f250/f350 kits that are made for all wheelbases.

Good luck!

Yes they are different kits. MBRP and Magnaflow both offer different kits for the Excursion. These are the Excursion kit part numbers for a 4" turbo back single exhaust kit.

MBRP
The XP series Part #: S6204409
Installer series Part #: S6204AL

Magnaflow
Standard Part #: 15966
XL series Part #: 15981

There are also kits available for cat-back if your truck is equipped with a catalytic converter.

IIRC a while back someone on this site tried to install a truck exhaust under the Ex and it wouldn't work... you'll want to stick with a kit made for the Ex just to be safe.
