Interior

How much is it for interior accessories? And where could I buy them at online? I mean I am thinking about getting an older truck (Probably an 1989 F150) or somewhere around there and I would more than likely change the interior depending on how much it cost (Like seats, the floor carpet, floor mats, maybe the vinonl, ect. So if anyone has an idea then please let me know. Also, what is the difference between getting a $500.00 paint job compared to a $3000.00 paint job? Is it just the type of paint and how long they last or will one look really ****ty and the other look really good? Thanks, Tyler! (Sorry for all the questions)

On the paint, it's the work and quality of the paint. For $500 you get cheap paint and no body work/sanding down. On a great paint job, the body is sanded down, primed, smoothed out, painted and then wet sanded. If the stock paint is letting go, then you really should sand it off because paint over what's peeling off will still peel off.

For interior parts, it really depends on what you want. In my 89, I put a nifty products Pro-line carpet for around $150. I ebayed some take out seats for under $100, a smitty built console for $120, $200 worth of dynamat and a pair of 5pt harnesses.

Give me an idea of what you want and I can point you in some directions. By idea, think of what you want it to look like or even the feel you want. Just something other than different would give me somewhere to start.

Well, as far as interior I don't think I am going to mess with it for a while because it is a 1996 f150 and the interior in it is in good condition and newer. Thank you for the help though! Although, I do think I am going to probably somehow fix the rust or have someone do it and eventually get a new paint job :/

Just some little things I done, for next to nothing but time.

First, Lil' Raven. Black with red interior. TOO much red for me.

Bought three cans of black Krylon Flat. (Didn't need all 3, but had leftovers for touch-up. Just finished up 1st can.)
Painted all trim around A-pillars and roof, kick panels and rear speaker panels.

Then, removed the cracked-up dash pad, bought one from JY for $8.change which was also red. Painted it and the glove-box door/fuse panel cover black. Added black floor mats for $6.change..

Before:

After:

All I would look to change now, would be for a set of black seats, but I'm happy for awhile. It's drive and enjoy time...

Not all people have tastes exactly like mine but I did my interior pretty cheaply too, and its functional and "classy" in its own way...

Picked up one of those dash callendars and that steel spinner for the steering wheel at a truck stop, used an old bed sheet as a seat cover, and leftover **** carpet makes great floor mats!
