I came across a post on another forum.
He replaced his 97 F150 4.6 v8 fuel pump with one from a mustang. He mentioned it was a 190.
Said all the plugs wiring matched up to the stock parts. Only had to adjust one part that hold the pump in place.
He said it was much cheaper and flowed more than his stock replacement.
Going to run some tests first to make sure it's my pump that is bad, but looking for the best deal on pumps and since we have a jegs locally I'm sure they have all kinds of mustang pumps there.
A mustang pump may be cheaper, but I would have my doubts on how much it flows. These pumps all flow enough that fuel that doesn't get used is flowing back into the tank constantly. So long as the pumps flow rate exceeds the rate at which the engine can use it, and can maintain the required pressure, it makes do difference how much fuel the pump is flowing.
