Shouldn't be a problem. I have a '92 block in my 73....bolted up, no problems. What exactly do you have in mind?

I have a short block from an 83 Grand Marquis with my 77 heads, intake, and all accessories bolted up to it. Shouldn't be an issue. It may depend on what engine you have though.

98's didn't come with 302's I didn't think. I thought they were 4.6 by then? But I don't know for sure.
I don't think it would be a problem at all to put your intake on a newer 302 though. I did it. But make sure you get the harmonic balancer and flexplate or flywheel because the newer ones have a different balance than the old ones, so you won't be able to reuse yours.

i believe that the grinds on the fuel injection cams are much different than the older ones, and they dont run very good w a carb. you might have to change cams, but you can still run the roller lifters. i believe i read this on a page on edelbrocks website, and a guy i work with just built one this way.
