Evaporator housing
Hi guys,
I have a cracked evaporator housing on My 2002 Ex,so not much of heating or cooling is getting inside .I am in need of a new or used one.
Dealer is asking 500+ for whole assembly 5C3Z-19B555-BA with new evaporator & blower motor which are working perfectly on my Ex,so I guess it's a waste of money.
Was thinking of getting it from scrap yard but not sure if they're
interchangeable with 2000-2005 F 250-350-450's.
Any advice on that please.
Thanks.

Im assuming you are referring to an Excursion (EXcursion, EXpedition, EXplorer)
I think they are all interchangable, though I have never seen a bad one. I HAVE seen evaporators get so muddy, sooty, etc that they dont allow good air flow. This is VERY common with fire trucks, farm trucks, construction vehicles.
