1) When lowering the window there is a loud clank sound and the glass tilts foward and sometimes fall in to the door. I know this because twice I had to go inside the door to reattach the glass mount. Is there some kind of special adhesive to keep the glass in the mount. I've already tried silicon. It seem as if its striking the door release rod.
2) When I pull the door handle it sometimes doen't raise the lock or opens the door. I have to try it serval times before it opens the door. I've developed the technique of pulling the handle and pushing with my elbow at the same time this works for me but my wife just can't seem to get it. Any ideas?
Glass places use plain old silicone to attach the glass to the mount. You do have to leave the window in the full up position for 24 hours to allow for full curing.
For the door handle, try putting a little offset bend in the linkage to take up some slack.
