Fuel Leak

I have a '96 F250 with the 7.3L Turbo Diesel. There's a new fuel leak and I can't place where it's coming from. Here's a link to some photos of where the fuel is puddling up on top of the manifold, below the turbo.

Index of /clients/f250

Any suggestions?

Thanks

J

Fuel pump is right in front of that bolt in your picture. The weep hole is on the bottom. You can't see it until it's removed. Very common leak.

Try snugging that bolt up, it's 1 1/4. Use an offset box wrench from the passengerside, it will just barely get in there.

Thank you, I'll check on that. If that doesn't fix it, do I need to replace the pump or is there another simple less costly way to fix it?

All of the pumps are made by Carter. Ge the cheapest one you can find.
It's an easy job to change if you have a few wrenching skills and a lot of patience.
The pump is around $100, maybe 3-4 hours to change out your first time.

I was hoping it was the drain hole, but it was the pump. Thanks for the help.
