Is it the clutch?
I just got 100,000 on the odometer and now I'm getting a bad shudder when i put it in reverse or first gear. The whole truck will shake vilently until it is fully engaged in gear. This only happens in first and reverse. I also can only get the rear tires to chirp now. Before I could really lay some rubber down. The shaking started about 8,000 miles ago and has just been getting worse. Is it time for a new clutch? If so is it worth the extra $ to go with a centerforce? Is the shaking from a bad fly wheel or is it from the flex-plate? Clutch only makes noise when it is cold. Noise will go away if the pedal is depressed or once it warms up. Engages all other gears well and there are no funny noises from the tranny.
