Your 1999 Super Duty had 6X8 speakers front and rear. You may want to go to Crutchfield: LCD TV, Car Audio, Home Theater, Speakers, Plasma TV to see what options are available for your application.

Just purchased/installed Clarion SRP1620M 6 1/2" components in the front holes and they sound awesome. Packaged with crossover and seperate tweets although the tweets have a provision for coax mount if you aren't inclined to drill a couple of holes in your panels. Mounted my tweeters in the semi triangular sail panel next to the pillar, the diagonal creates an ideal soundstage but keep an eye on dash clearance if you decide to duplicate. Use dynamat and you wont believe the low end these little things are capable of (around 35hz I think). A Ford specific adaptor bracket is included with kit and you can get them online as low as 100.00 a pair. Paid 109 for mine with free shipping from onlinecarstereo.com but their customer service is for chit as I had a problem with a different order. Btw, the tweets match the black trim in my base XL so they look cool too.

That was a great idea to mount the tweeters in the "triangular sail panel" of the door. I'll do that too when I install new speakers. Thanks!
