It's a direct bolt-in. You can use either the old version (1999-2007) or the new version (2008-2009) of the center console. Check eBay for availability.
It is a pretty well know fact that the consoles and seats are interchangable but, I believe the original posters concern is whether it will work with the 6-speed manual transmission. Is there enough room between the stick shifter and the console to allow free passage from gear to gear with out hitting or bumping into the console. In past years Ford did not have an option for bucket seats with the console for models with the manual transmission. I don't have the answer the OP is looking for, Heck, I have asked the question in the past, and never found an answer any better than "it should". However I hate to spend the money and time only to find out "It Don't"
Well I just went ahead and installed it. The only thing the stick hits is my coffee cup when it's in the holder. Thats because the brackets pull the console down a little too tight so the plastic in the front pops out,so I had to shim the console just a little. and second because of the sight amount of slop in the stick. The really cool thing about Ford is that the wiring harness was already in place to plug in the console, So now I have two power sources.
I don't want to pee on anyone's parade here, but I have an '08 with 25K on it now and my console has had a noticeable dip where my elbow rests for about 6 months. I don't think that lid is going to be very durable at all. I would be surprised if mine doesn't have a hole worn in it by 50K.

Please post pics so that we can see the size of your elbows! Or you could just post pics of your console...

I'm just a regular sized ole guy, 5' 11" 195 lbs. I think my elbow is the normal size, but I do have two of them . The dip is nothing that I could photograph, but it just dips 1/8" to 1/4" when you run your hand over where my elbow rests. Maybe I just lean on it too hard when I reach around with my other hand to scratch my butt .
