need some help
my tranfercase is makin some weird like grinding sounds when i accelerate but when im sitting still it doesnt make any sounds 
any ideas? and i just did a new clutch and flywheel in my truck and a dana 60 swap

is it a grinding or more of a whine are you sure it is the transfercase and not the tranny? i am no expert on this but it could just be gear lash somone else with more knowledge will chime in soon

im pretty sure its the transfercase because i jacked the rear up and put it through the gears and went under and listened while it was spinnin the tires and its sounds like its from the transfercase

yes i filled it with new fluid when i reinstalled it i talked to my uncle and he said might be the chain is worn out so i might just get a rebuild kit and rebuild it for 100ish any more ideas guys? i mean it does have atleast 300000 miles on it so i mean i guess i cant really complain

well from my local parts store they said a rebuild for it is about 160 and yes i used ATF
