I have a 1984 f-250 3/4 tonx=tra cab well i went to but tires on the back the lugnuts on the passenger side came off by turning them left. But the ones on the drivers side came off by turning them right is this normal.Do the drivers lugnuts come off by turning them to the right on the driver side? Has anybody ever heard of this or is there something wrong?
Thanks
Some of the older trucks had opposing threads on each side, it's normal, just dont mix up the lugnuts.
So the front will be the same on the drivers side left to tighten right to losen and were do i get these back wards lugnuts ? I can change these out right ?

Any good tire shop should have both right and left hand threaded lug nuts. I just got new lugs to go with some used tires & wheels I bought. I needed RH threads but 3 of them were LH threads and I had to return them for a swap. These must have been tossed into the wrong bin.
Another thing is that some F250s in the 1980s (perhaps at other times as well) used either 1/2" or 9/16" lugs & nuts. My truck uses the 1/2" size but heavier duty trucks use the bigger 9/16" size.
