ranger electric shift control
I have a 1991 Ford Ranger xlt 4.0l 4wd. im having trouble with it coming out of four-wheel-drive. I'm pretty sure it's electric shift mechanism at the transfer case, but I'm afraid to tear into it until I find a detailed picture of the parts involved and how they are assembled. I know I can go out and purchase a shop manual but they are pretty expensive and i plan on selling this vehicle soon, I have a Hayne's manual and it is useless. I guess my question is, is there anywhere on the Internet where I can find a detailed diagram of how the parts are assembled?

There is a link to complete repair procedures for the t-case shift motor somewhere on this board. You will have to page down for the last couple of months to find it. It also may be on the Big Bronco forum, I don't remember which. There were pictures and lots of other good information, better than the shop manual. From the looks of it, the electric system is a pain. I'm glad I have the lever on the floor.
