My zy spring code
Spring codes? camper package? It says "zy"
It is a 2004 f350 2wd. the rear springs have 5 leafs and an overload.
I am trying to find out if mine has the camper package or the heavy duty springs.

Here's the link to the SD tech Folder but I haven't found that code in there. Maybe you'll see something I missed:

Here's a link to the 2004 order guide also. You may be able to tell something from it. Here is what it says is included in the Camper package:
CAMPER PACKAGE (532)
• Heavy service front springs (200 lb. Upgrade above the spring
computer selected as a consequence of options chosen. Not
included if maximum springs have been computer selected as
standard equipment)
• Rear stabilizer bar (SRW vehicles only)
• Slide-in camper certification
• Auxiliary springs
NOTE 1: Salesperson's Source Book or Ford RV Trailer Towing
Guide should be consulted for specific trailer towing or camper
limits and corresponding required equipment, axle ratios and
model availability.
NOTE 2: Not available with F-350 Crew Cab 156" WB with gas
engine and 18" AT OWL tires

I had seen that thread and also did not see those spring codes.
I re read the thread and it seems all f 250s f 350s had 6 springs, do you know if this is the case?

I can't recall exactly on the '04, but the '05 and F-350s all had the auxiliary rear springs standard on them. Take a look at this:

It's the truck builder's guide and it has most of the information in it. Look on pages 59-61 and it gives the info on the springs. Doesn't give the codes but does say that all F-350 SRW and DRW have 6 leaves.

Hope this helps. For what it's worth, I haven't been able to find anything showing a "z" coded spring. You can always contact FTE/PARTS-GUY. He can give you a lot of info. and I think he can also get you a build sheet for you truck that shows all options, etc. it was built with.
