Exclamation Icp wire problem

I replaced my all 4 UVCs truck runs better but still have a problem. Going down the road or sitting at idle the engine starts surging it almost shuts off at idle. I thought it was going to die as I was sittin on the boat ramp today. When I got home I started messing around with the ICP with it unplugged everything is fine except for CEL. Now that would say bad ICP but i'm not convinced just yet i replaced it 2 years ago. I started messing around with the plug and wires and it would immediately set a code. Shut the truck off start back up wiggle the wires where they go into the plug and sure enough kicks out again. My quesion is can i just buy the plug already together with pigtails or do I have to crimp the pins and put them in? Also, does anyone have some resistances for the sensor itself just to rule it out? Is there a procedure for checking the wires themselves?

Okay I think I solved the problem the engine is hot right now. It looked like the connectors in the plug were a little loose so I squeezed the copper female sockets tighter and pushed the wires down in the back good and tight... then taped it all together so nothing vibrates loose. My theory is that when the engine heats up the female sockets in the ICP connector are expanding just enough so that any extra vibration causes intermittent high resistance which lowers the signal voltage causing the computer to cut the pressure back which makes the engine almost die for a second until something else sees that the rpm isn't where it should be so it tries to bring it back up, when it brings it back up resistance comes back down and the engine surges. All this happens at a split second which makes the engine jump all over the place. All because of a faulty connector. Once i fixed it i drove about 10 miles the engine was already up to temp and it ran better than it has in a long while.

Glad you got it fixed. As for as a plug with pigtails, I have never seen one, you can get the plug, and new wire terminal ends from Ford but you have to put it all together.
