Just got my new EV-2's installed and was wondering what is expected for the readings on Turbo, Ex. Temps and Trans temps.? The only mods (So far), that I've done to the truck is rebuilt transmission(Scorched the TC), didn't have the temp gauge. Added Mag-Hytec pan with a heavyduty TC and a JW Valvebody. Did the 6637Mod, and CCV Mod with home brew oil trap. My rig is a Cali, so it has a cat before the muff. Next mod will address this issue.
I want to thank everyone here. The info provided is priceless. Religiously visit this fourm looking for new info.
turbo should be around 15 psi stock.. trans should run about 160180. never over 230.. exhaust should never be over 1250F for more than a few seconds.. on the highway my EGT runs about 500F

Really, my trucks idles at 400F , prolly 850F or so on the highway empty. Probe installed in up pipe just after manifold, drivers side. Boost is 17 stock, and tranny runs about 60 to 80 over ambient, just for comparison purposes.
Cool then like mentioned above, 1250 degrees is your redline for EGT's, 60-100 degrees over ambient temperature for tranny fluid and 15-17# of boost are all typical numbers. Remember, your tranny temp won't move until you drive some distance to get it up to operation temps, your EGT's will move right out of the driveway and the boost won't build until you goose the throttle. Have fun with monitoring your truck's health better.
