Anyone know what gauge wire the fuel pump harness is made of?
Jeff-
I used some 14 ga. wire that I had in the shop. It looked to be the same size and worked fine. The 16ga. that I also had looked to small so I went with the 14.

Nice, thanks. That's about all I lack of having all my parts together.
The only reason I didn't move the entire pump into the tank like Dan did in the link above is because if I ever had to get to the pump for some ungodly reason, I didn't want to have to screw with dropping the tank again. But it's still a good option and clean as well!

I was wondering if you'd started yet. Be sure to take lots of pics we we can see how it goes!!
I just had my tank out today to investigate whether the inside was getting corroded due to the ULSD.
Good news, ZERO corrosion, the inside of the tank look brand spankin' new.
I did a volume test with the pump before I put the tank back in.
1/2 gallon in 30 seconds - that ought to be enough to keep up with anything I'll ever need.

Yep, basically have all the parts together, minus a few odds and ends, that wiring and some wire loom to cover it is all I need to get. Hopefully I can find the time to install everything here soon. I don't know if I will be able to take pics though, my girlfriend has my camera, which she has had for months now.
You're welcome.
This really is the place that the pump needed to be mounted in the first place.
I did my in-tank mods and I should of done it then. Now I like my quick change idea of moving it back on the frame, and I realy like the intank pump also so now I am on what to do.It will all come out in the wash,LOL.

I think as long as all the connections between the fuel tank and the pump inlet are completely sealed up, no air can get in, then it really doesn't matter.
a pump does do better pushing then pulling..my stocker is sucking though a 1212 10 micron baldwin and pushing though a wix 2 micron spin on filter from its stock location..i will be up gradeing to this pump soon..many say it doesnt loose PSI..
I got this pump for my truck and I have it pulling through a small napa filter, not sure what microns, probably like 30, I just wanted it for large debris. It has started to get very loud, although it was always louder than stock.
