yea. I felt that way in my chemistry class.
I took it in 11th grade in high school. And it was the same in college. Pissed me off.
During the labs, I felt just... bored.
They were fun, but everyone was kinda dumb.
not everyone, cause the class was friggen huge, but some people just half assed it to get them done, and others were lost.
The guy who was with me wasn't to bright, but he was helpfull and looked to me for answers, which is good, but i'd rather him think for himself.
we made crystals. I guess ours was the biggest, because i took the extra 3 mins while making the super solution to get all the powder disolved, to make a super solution!! like you are supposed to. haha.
See, the problem with FTE though, is we got morons like Tim and Rick, who argue with eachother all the time. and they really dont know a damned thing about anything. They really just take their truck to a shop everday and have some other jackass work on it for them, then they come and say that they did it.
The answers they give are just what they have looked up in their haynes manual. They really dont know anything.
Bahahahahahahaha
oh man. i hope nobody believes that.

I was hoping no one would figure out my secret!!! I guess I will have to give due credit when I unveil my latest mods. The guys that works on my truck does great and he is cheap! Doesn't charge me a dime.

Engineers...the reason the auto companies are failing....oh wait, it's the over-paid union guys on the assembly line fault, well...it must be, the auto worker got the shaft the engineer got a raise and another job to screw up.
I've found that it's often non-engineer managers who are calling the shots. The manager wants to be in the one calling all the shots, so it comes down to who's the most persuasive in making arguments, not who's right that wins out. I've dealt with plenty of arrogant yet full of crap engineers who are the managers favorites, so they listen to them instead of the engineers who know what they are talking about.
It's called the temple cat syndrome. Egyptians figured cats must be gods, because only a god could be that arrogant. The same thing applies to some of these engineers... they're arrogant, so they must be good.
Nope, they aren't. And the other engineers make fun of them plus get frustrated since they're often the ones that management listens to.
I've been in the prototype field all my working life. Never had a real job. That put me in direct contact with engineers and designers on a daily basis. They assigned me a task of reducing weight on some of the body/drive-line components even if it reduced reliability. Their reasoning: maximize profits and meet federal mandated Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards. They said that some parts were lasting too long anyway....as long as it gets through warranty. I asked, "don't you want repeat sales....don't you care about brand reputation?" He agreed, but, "it's the bean counters (accountants) besides we are the largest corporation in the world, we build it, they will buy it". That's arrogance!
Oh oh, all my eggs are this one basket and the 'tail was wagging the dog', in my mind it was just a matter of time......time to change my loyalties and diversify. That was over 20 years ago....the company is now considering bankruptcy.....you guessed it GM.
