head gaskets
I'm considering buying a 99 f-150 with a 4.6? litre v8. It has about 170k miles and is leaking antifreeze from the back of the engine, near the engine/transmission area. Water is also coming out of the exhaust pipe. I'm assuming a head gasket at least.
No water apparently is in the oil. Also seems to have an exhaust leak.
Is it difficult to get access to the cylinder head on the passenger side? The price is right, the truck looks very good otherwise but I'm wondering how much trouble I could get myself into here.
What's a valve job cost at a shop?
