[updated:LAST EDITED ON 08-Jan-03 AT 10:33 AM (EST)]I have an 85 Bronco with a 351W, C6, and an NP208 transfer case. My tranny is about to die and i'm looking for a good core to rebuild. My question is can i use a tranny that was bolted to a different transfer case like the borg warner. i already know that the bellhousings are the same between the 4.9 I6, the 5.0, and the 5.8.
What parts do i need to do a low ratio gear swap from an E4OD?
Also, i've heard that you can make your tranny shift better by adding more friction disks and pressure plates? if so, how many should i add during my rebuild?
thanks....
